- Plants form a tight rosette of fleshy, pineapple-like evergreen foliage
- Plants are drought-tolerant and need little water

- Protect plants from the winter cold by bringing indoors
- Plant in a very free-draining soil or cactus compost
- Water in summer but keep dry in winter
- Plants can be placed outside in summertime
- At maturity expect a height of 40cm (16in) and spread of 50cm (20in)
- Supplied as a pot grown plant in a 9cm nursery pot
