- In contrast to many other bamboos, Fargesia rufa is a clumping, non-invasive variety, taking a bit longer to fill in but eventually forming a dense screen ideal for concealing eyesores or providing privacy.
- Its clumping habit and medium height make it suitable as a specimen accent in containers or borders, without the concern of it taking over the garden.
- Notably frost-tolerant, Fargesia rufa is hardy and can withstand both heat and sun, setting it apart from other clumping varieties.
