Lovely city and P&O exceeded all expectations with a great cruise both ways. We had a hotel booking too... and it was a nice hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel was not in Amsterdam and we had the option of a 40euro taxi fare each way or an hour on public transport. We opted for the latter but, as novice travellers, it wasn't straightforward with metro, tram and 2 walks. A bit naughty of Weekender breaks I thought as we'd paid an upgrade fee too. When I spoke to them to request advice... how do I get to the hotel they told me to "figure it out when there" and that a hotel in the city "was more expensive for them".
Overall, I'd go again but I wouldn't book through weekender breaks again.
