What is Hydrafacial?
A HydraFacial is designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and oily or acne prone skin. So, you can enjoy a more refined, radiant, and even skin tone after just one session. A HydraFacial is a non-invasive treatment that works to deep clean, exfoliate, and hydrate your skin. This procedure is like a regular facial; however, it has been proven to have a more dramatic result. To get perfect looking skin a mechanized wand is used to deeply clean and exfoliate, whilst delivering serums customised to your skin type.
How is a Hydrafacial Performed?
There are three steps to a HydraFacial treatment. The first step is cleansing and peeling the skin by exfoliating and removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin. The second step is to extract and hydrate the skin, by getting any dirt out of the pores whilst moisturising the skin to keep it feeling hydrated. And lastly, the treatment will finish with boosters or serums which will reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, or enlarged pores, leaving your skin feeling rejuvenated and glowy.
Benefits of Hydrafacial
A HydraFacial aims to improve overall skin texture, tone, and appearance. This is due to the deep exfoliation techniques used during the treatment to clean your pores and more. Currently there are no clinical studies highlighting the benefits of the HydraFacial for acne. However, microdermabrasion techniques have been considered effective for treating both acne and acne scarring. Some other benefits to a HydraFacial are that they're incredibly good at extracting blackheads, treating rosacea, and decreasing skin aging.
Side Effects/What to expect after Hydrafacial
While a HydraFacial is said to be free of any complications, you may feel light pressure from the wand during the treatment. Unlike other cosmetic treatments, the HydraFacial isn't supposed to cause you any pain or create any redness. After a HydraFacial you may notice smoother, more radiant skin, and possibly a more even skin tone. The results are noticeable immediately, so straight after the treatment you will see a significant difference in your skin.
